Energy Design and Energy Management
Planning, Constructing and Operating Climate-Neutral Buildings
To achieve a climate-neutral building stock by 2045, we offer a broad portfolio of services in the field of energy design and energy management. We create sustainable energy concepts, development and climate protection roadmaps for individual new buildings and existing buildings as well as for properties, district, building portfolios and production facilities.
Our experts provide you with the best possible advice on energy efficiency and green building certification.
Our interdisciplinary team offers special monitoring services to analyse and optimise the subsequent operation of your building or property. In this way, costly mistakes can be avoided, and the energy concepts can realise their full efficiency and effectiveness in real building operation.
Efficient energy design: the key to sustainable construction
Whether as a feasibility study, as part of project planning or as a concept development in the planning process - we develop an energy supply concept with which you can realise the goals for your building project sustainably and economically.
Because when it comes to climate-neutral and resource-conserving construction, we at MorgenGrün are passionate about what we do. We never lose sight of the fact that people should feel comfortable in buildings. In our energy concepts, we harmonise this requirement with the necessary economic efficiency - for every location.
Future-proof through modernisation: energy design for tomorrow
Owners of existing properties are often faced with the challenge of efficiently making their properties fit for the future and counteracting a loss of value.
We at MorgenGrün actively support you in this endeavour. We offer you an initial consultation on the decarbonisation path and develop customised modernisation measures for the building envelope and system technology so that you can make your property sustainable. Through a comprehensive inventory of the building envelope and technical building equipment, among other things, we determine the current condition of your property and show you how you can achieve sustainable efficiency building standards (EG40, EG55, EG Monument, etc.).
Designing sustainable districts: Energy design with a holistic view
Viewed holistically, several properties as a networked district can tap into major synergies in technical infrastructure. This results in considerable ecological and economic advantages in operation. The solutions range from LowEx grids to the integration of seasonal storage systems.
By intelligent networking surpluses and requirements in the district, we make the energy available for multiple uses and direct it exactly where it is needed.
Monitoring and operational optimisation: efficiency in real time
Technical systems change over their life cycle. After the building has initially been optimised, inefficiencies arise over time, which can lead to higher operating costs and dissatisfaction among users.
With active monitoring, we ensure that all systems function optimally, energy consumption is minimised and the people who live and work in the buildings are satisfied. At MorgenGrün, we support you in the creation and implementation of monitoring concepts, in the analysis and evaluation of data and in the optimisation of operations.
Green production: increasing competitiveness through energy efficiency
A lot of energy can be saved with waste heat generated in production processes. In Germany, this potential amounts to 60 to 70 terawatt hours per year (TWh/a), which is equivalent to the annual heating requirements of 2,4 million single-family homes. Waste heat at low temperatures can be utilised economically, particularly with heat pumps and heat recovery systems. This reduces the company's own heating requirements or administrative buildings close to production can be heated with the waste heat. At higher waste heat temperatures, it is possible, for example, to feed internal waste heat into local heating networks or to produce waste heat-based electricity. At MorgenGrün, we not only support you with the modernisation of existing buildings
- We also identify and quantify your company's waste heat potential,
- evaluate economic, ecological and technical waste heat potential,
- create concepts for climate-neutral process heat,
- adapt your production processes to the volatility of in-house power generation using renewable energies and
- help you to implement legal requirements (including the Energy Efficiency Act).
Apply for funding from experts: save on energy consumption
The Federal Government has combined funding measures (KfW funding programmes, BAFA) in the Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings (BEG) to reduce the CO2 footprint in the real estate sector. This results in interesting funding opportunities for individual measures (BEG-EM) or for complete refurbishments of residential and non-residential buildings (BEG-WG or BEG-NW) in the refurbishment sector.
In the area of new buildings, there are subsidies for climate-friendly new builds (KfN). Anyone with a federal sustainability seal (Quality Seal for Sustainable Buildings, QNG) can apply for the maximum subsidy. Federal funding for efficient heating networks (BEW) supports the expansion and optimisation of heating networks as part of the energy transition.
Energy efficiency experts who are listed with the German Energy Agency (DENA) must apply for the funding. Our MorgenGrün experts registered there take care of everything and submit the applications for you.
Energy audits: Energy optimisation in accordance with DIN EN 16247
An energy audit systematically evaluates a company's energy consumption and efficiency. Based on a clear framework of rules in accordance with DIN EN 16247, we analyse energy flows and identify potential savings. With such an audit, we design measures to achieve energy savings targets economically and reduce your company's final energy consumption.
Under certain conditions, regular energy audits may be mandatory in accordance with the German Energy Services and Other Energy Efficiency Measures Act (EDL-G). An audit must be carried out in an independent and cost-effective manner by qualified or accredited experts. MorgenGrün is your reliable partner for this.
